Creating intentional community programmes

Community engagement through the programmes that we provide is essential for each community venue. Without engaging the community through the programmes each venue provide, the venue will struggle to be an active hub for their locals. That's why being intentional and thinking creatively about the programmes each venue provides is essential. But how do we change our way of thinking on what programmes we should provide and design for our community? How do we enable and utilise our local services and organisations to really serve specific communities in our own environment? In this month's learning series topic, we will hope to engage in a conversation about that!

This month, we will hear from various experts on this topic and get us thinking on how do we best serve our communities through our programmes, as well as provide great insight on how they manage and develop their community programmes. Plus, some tips and tricks.

This session is on Thursday 20th March, and the hope of this learning series is to learn invaluable insights on how successful community venues whose processes work, their purpose in providing these programs have been and what have been the impacts it's had in their significant community would be amazing insight to learn from!

We know that looking after communities and their spaces can be challenging and isolating, yet there are so many effective initiatives, hacks and tools out there. We also know that it can be hard to find the opportunity to learn and up-skill as well as connect with like-minded people. This is the purpose of the Community Venue Learning Series.

These sessions are open to ANYONE who works at or with community venues, and don't have to be on SpacetoCo either. If you know councils, venues, volunteers etc. that would love to take part, feel free to invite them along and share the link with them!
