Online Security at SpacetoCo

It’s almost impossible to do much these days without interacting online. Everything from banking to education to finding and booking a space is conducted behind a screen.  And as we all know, the shift to online has created efficiencies that we could only have dreamed of a generation ago. We’re able to work, learn and transact faster than we ever have which means it’s unlikely we’ll go back to visiting the bank, learning from a set of encyclopaedias or paper booking forms (hopefully). 😉

When we first planned SpacetoCo to solve how community spaces are discovered and booked, we knew our business would be online. In fact, a modern marketplace can not be… without the internet. Making a platform feel safe, easy and trustworthy required us to build the best possible customer experience we could. But customer experience is more than simple, elegant design… it extends to trust, security and safety.

The SpacetoCo team pledges to maintain best-practice when it comes to the integrity and safety of customer personal data. We will continue to undertake routine independent cyber security penetration testing with vulnerability scanning to ensure our software is not compromised by anyone.  Our technology leverages reputable 3rd party tools to deliver its functionality, in particular, our payment gateway partners (Stripe and GoCardless) are amongst the most trusted in the online payments industry. Building a human firewall is as important as any digital measure which is why our team undertakes monthly training on cyber security.

Good online digital citizenship requires all of us to do our part by ensuring our passwords are robust, that multi-factor authentication is used where possible and that we are careful to interact with familiar and trusted sources.

Keeping your information secure is paramount to us here at SpacetoCo. Above all, we do not take your trust in us for granted - thank you for helping us improve how community spaces are shared.

💛 Team SpacetoCo
