How to recruit and take care of volunteers, even amidst the pandemic

Volunteers are the heart and hands of many community organisations. They are dedicated and passionate people who realise the vision and mission of groups. They're also PEOPLE, which means that they aren't just a resource, but human beings with different motivations and needs. This makes recruiting and retaining volunteers difficult, especially amidst the pandemic, with organisations contending with increased safety measures, remote ways of working and a further lack of funding.

To help, we at SpacetoCo have made a guide to help organisations recruit and take care of volunteers well, even during COVID times. The guide comes complete with practical tips and even a handy checklist to make sure things are up to scratch!

If you're a community organisation that relies on volunteers, or a council looking to share resources with volunteer-based group, check out the guide here!
