Your Speakers

Jeremy Hurst founded SpacetoCo in 2015 to tackle underutilised community spaces. Since launching in 2017, the platform has grown to partner with over 70 local governments and 175 community venues across Australia and New Zealand, offering access to 5000+ spaces — simplifying bookings and maximising resource use without new infrastructure. A former teacher and education technology consultant, Jeremy works with councils, businesses, and community venues to promote shared space efficiency and community engagement.

Pauline Laithwaite joined SpacetoCo in May 2021, passionate about enabling sustainable use of community spaces and helping people build community locally. She works with venues to boost space utilisation and community engagement. Previously, Pauline held local government roles as a project manager on community-led placemaking projects and in community centres, curating programmes and managing partner relationships. She also brings strong experience in strategic marketing and business management.
