Changes to Casual Host Fees

For Casual Hosts Only

This change is for Casual Host users of our platform only. It does not impact Partner or PartnerPro hosts who manage both casual & regular bookings through our site.

• You're a Partner or Partner Pro host if you receive payments for your casual and regular bookings in a lump sum monthly reconciled payment. 
• You're a casual host if you receive payments for your bookings as they occur through a connected Stripe account. 

We want to let you know about an upcoming adjustment to our commission and merchant fees for casual bookings. Starting from the 1st of December 2025, the new fee will be 19.5% plus GST per booking.

Why the Change?

This is the first time we've increased our pricing since 2017. Like many businesses, we've seen a significant increase in operational costs over the past few years.

This adjustment helps us continue to provide a high-quality, comprehensive service that supports your hosting experience. A key factor in this change is the inclusion of merchant (merch) fees within this updated fee. Previously, merch fees were handled separately, and consolidating them into the main fee simplifies the financial process for everyone. This also allows us to continue investing in:

• Ongoing platform improvements: Enhancing features, stability, security, and ease of use.
• Marketing and promotion: Bringing more guests to your listings.
• Dedicated host support: Ensuring you have the resources you need.

What Does This Mean for You?

You'll see the updated fee 19.5% plus GST take effect for any bookings that have yet to be paid out from 1st December 2025. e.g. the updated fees would apply to bookings that have happened in the days prior to December 1st that are pending payout and any bookings occurring after December 1st. 

Exploring Your Options

For hosts who are ready to manage all of their bookings and invoices through SpacetoCo and have regular hirers, our Partner Tier offers a reduced rate starting from 16.5% which also includes all merchant fees.

The extra features available on our partner tier are designed for venues who want to get game changing efficiencies managing their bookings. If you're already consistently processing all your bookings through SpacetoCo or have a steady stream of regular hirers as well as casual hirers, becoming a Partner could help you save time and further grow your bookings.

No Changes to Terms and Conditions

Please note that aside from this fee adjustment, there are no changes to our existing terms and conditions for casual hosts.
